Starting Strong - A Wellness Resource
Mentor teachers give significant time, energy, and care to supporting others, often while continuing to carry the full responsibilities of their own classrooms and school communities. This video introduces the Starting Strong resource, a brief wellness reflection designed to help mentors pause, assess how they are doing, and identify where additional support or stronger boundaries may be needed.
The resource guides mentors through five interconnected areas of wellness—emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, and financial—and encourages them to choose one realistic area of focus for the school year. Rather than creating an ambitious plan, the goal is to build awareness and identify small, sustainable steps that will help mentors remain grounded as they support others.

Coaching Styles & Sentence Stems
Before strategies, sentence stems, or coaching moves — it starts with reflection. The Coaching Styles and Sentence Stems resource invites mentor teachers, coaches, and supervisors to pause and consider how they're currently showing up for the early career educators in their care.
Inside, you'll find four coaching styles — directive, facilitative, collaborative, and transformational — along with practical questions and sentence stems you can reach for in real mentoring conversations. Think of it as a springboard: something to keep nearby before an observation debrief, a planning conversation, or any moment when you want to enter the room with a little more intention.
