Meet the Founder

Christina Meline, M.Ed

Christina Meline, M.Ed is a teacher, writer, speaker, researcher, and advocate for educators.

Christina Meline began her teaching career in Minnesota and has taught in both public and private school settings. Over the years, she has supported educators through coaching, mentoring, professional development, and partnerships with schools, districts, universities, and community organizations.

In 2023, Christina published Called to the Classroom: Daily Reflections for Educators, a resource that has been shared with thousands of teachers and leaders across the country. Through her work and conversations with educators nationwide, one theme continues to surface: Teachers are passionate and committed, yet many feel overwhelmed, burned out, and in need of meaningful support.

This message is deeply personal to Christina. During her first five years in the classroom, she loved teaching and cared deeply for her students, but the pressure to do everything well while balancing life outside of school took a toll on her mental and physical health. That lived experience, combined with what she continues to hear from educators and leaders, now shapes the resources she creates. Her online course, Cultivate: Building Confidence as an Early Career Teacher, and its companion workbook, Cultivate: Strategies for Building Confidence as an Early Career Teacher, are designed to support future teachers and teachers in their first five years as they build a strong foundation for a sustainable future in education.

In her personal life, Christina loves to travel and make connections in the communities where she lives. Besides Minnesota, she has also lived in Chicago (IL), Dallas (TX), West Palm Beach (FL), and Louisville (KY). She has been vocal about her journey with Type 1 diabetes and how it has impacted her personal and professional life. Her favorite moments are often spent with a warm cup of coffee or tea and meaningful conversation.

Our Story

The name, “Team Meline,” was created during the first few years of my elementary teaching experience. As I began to use this identifier in my classroom, gradually the word, “students,” became “teammates” and “class” became “team”. To this day, I tell my students that there is a reason they are a part of our team. Each one belongs in Team Meline and nothing can change that. At the end of the school year, I give each teammate a key chain - a simple reminder that they will always be a part of Team Meline. They will always belong.

The team language became so powerful for myself and my students, I wanted it to grow, widening its circle to invite more into its space. In the midst of many challenges facing education today, educators and leaders possess strength in ourselves and in our community with one another. I believe when we share our voices, experiences, ideas, and solutions, we will build connection and understanding. When we are unified, we have a greater opportunity for positive impact. Our profession is tough, but so are we. Let’s come together to be heard and empowered.

Our Mission: Cultivate community and empower educators through practical resources, meaningful support, and shared growth.
