Explore Called to the Classroom

From the first day of the year to the last, Called to the Classroom: Daily Reflections for Educators journeys with those who minister to children and young adults throughout the school year. Seasons may change, but God’s love and strength remain constant. Through guided reflections, readers explore six main themes of education and faith: Calling, connection, courage, compassion, creativity, and celebration.

These reflections include empowering Bible verses and quotes, thoughtful applications, space for setting intentions along with recording memorable moments, and blessings for the day ahead. This devotional text is designed as a space to center ourselves in our Christian faith. We are invited to come together as a community of teachers who are called to the classroom.

  • “On behalf of everyone at our school, I just wanted to thank you for your devotional book for teachers. We have been using it this year during our faculty prayer time, and there have been many instances where we needed to be encouraged about something and that was the day’s topic. To our teachers, who are greatly underpaid, teaching here feels like an uphill battle most days. So I wanted you to know that your book is making a huge difference in helping to keep our teaching atmosphere positive and encouraging.”

  • “I have made it a goal to read it each morning and it reaffirms that God has put me in the right place, even on not so good days.  I always feel motivated to get to work and be the best version of me for the children.  If I’m running short on time, I always read the blessing.  It gets me in the right mindset.”

  • "It was nice that the reflections were short, but gave something real to think about. Christina understands how to address and put into perspective the Teacher Struggle."

    - Teacher | Pennsylvania

  • "I'm in awe of the way you have such "a way with words" and can say what we need to hear. I did what we do with Bibles sometimes and opened randomly to pages - and guess what? There was a personal message for me on each page! "
