Cultivate: Building Confidence as an Early Career Teacher

Cultivate: Building Confidence as an Early Career Teacher is a five-part professional learning experience designed to strengthen early-career teacher confidence and support long-term retention through a framework of Compassion, Clarity, Consistency, Community, and Confidence. This course begins by guiding participants through meaningful self-reflection and identity practices, helping teachers address the root beliefs and patterns that often shape classroom management, communication, and instructional decision-making. Learners then translate that internal clarity into practical tools for building student relationships, partnering with families, strengthening collaboration, and approaching content planning with greater consistency and confidence. Completion of Cultivate serves as a meaningful indicator to schools and districts that participants are proactively investing in their professional growth and long-term sustainability.

Meet the Instructor: Christina Meline, M.Ed

Hello teachers and leaders! I’m so glad you’re here and excited to welcome you to Cultivate: Building Confidence as an Early Career Teacher.

This course grew out of my own early years in the classroom and the hundreds of messages I’ve heard from teachers in their first five years. If you feel called to education, that’s a beautiful gift. Inspiring young people to learn and grow is one of the most impactful ways to change the world! And yet, teaching is also tough at times. Now more than ever, new teachers need more support, not less.

I’ve spent over a decade teaching in private, public, and charter schools, both in-person and online. I’ve coached new teachers, led teaching teams, and partnered with district stakeholders across the country, listening to the complex, heavy concerns so many educators and leaders are carrying. When I reflect and ask, “What can I do about it?” this course is my answer.

The vision behind Cultivate is: Dig beneath the surface so your roots grow deeper and your practice grows stronger, both personally and professionally. Because life as a new teacher is already so full, I designed this to be bite-sized and manageable, filled with practical strategies you can use right away. My hope is that it supports not only your professional growth, but your personal well-being, too. I’m honored you’re considering joining me for this journey.
